The bergamot adds a needed zest, thankfully preventing the citrus from becoming cloying. The jasmine is dialed back, more of a supporting player than a soloist. The herbal heart presents a slightly bitter, almost mentholated coolness which deviates notably from Vibrato's floral sweetness. The ginger is subtle, just a spicy whisper. A slight powder accord emerges, like freshly milled face powder, that adds sophistication. The drydown is a standard blend of clean musk and cedar, with amber lending a touch of warmth, but lacks the depth found in the inspiration, ending with a somewhat linear quality. ### How Long Does it Last? On my skin, Le Prestige Empress lasts a solid 6-7 hours, becoming a skin scent by hour 5. Projection is moderate for the first hour, extending about an arm's length, then softens considerably. I wore this to the office and received a few compliments, but nothing overwhelming. It performed well during a brisk walk outside, the cooler air enhancing the citrus notes."

The sweetness disqualifies it from high heat, while the lack of depth makes it ill-suited for formal occasions. It presents as casual, although the initial sharpness may be polarizing in close quarters. ### Longevity & Projection Longevity is moderate, clinging to the skin for approximately 5 hours. Projection is initially strong, extending beyond a single arm length for the first hour, but quickly subsides to a skin scent thereafter.
