Olfactory Experience
Bedour Extrait opens with a fizzy, almost soapy aldehyde blast softened by a candied white peach note. It's sweeter and less citrus-forward than what it imitates. Where the original has a sparkling effervescence, this leans into a creamy, slightly powdery floral heart. The orange blossom is dialed up, losing some of the original's refined dewiness and exhibiting a somewhat cloying effect. As it dries, the musk takes center stage, becoming the dominant note. The akigalawood attempts to add woody depth but comes across as a generalized amber-wood aroma chemical with a synthetic feel.
Bottom Line
This is a perfectly acceptable daily wear, best suited for casual daytime activities. Think running errands, brunch with friends, or even a low-key office environment. It's too simple for formal events or date nights. Its sweetness also make it more suited for cooler temperatures or else the sugary elements intensify.
How Long Does it Last?
I get about six hours on my skin with moderate projection for the first two. After that, it settles into a skin scent. I tested it on a hot day at an outdoor market – it held up well without becoming overwhelming, but the sugary notes intensified in the heat. Indoors, it behaves with more restraint.
