Ard Al Zaafaran's Accento opens with a brazen pineapple note, leaning heavily into a candied sweetness reminiscent of pineapple hard candies, rather than a juicy, fresh fruit. The hyacinth is present, but subdued, lending a powdery green facet that struggles against the saccharine onslaught. The heart attempts to introduce sophistication with iris and jasmine, yet these florals are rendered synthetic, evoking the aroma of cheap floral air freshener.
