Ginger Babe is Aroma Concept’s take on Jo Malone's Ginger Biscuit, and it gets surprisingly close. The opening blasts with ginger, a touch of cinnamon, and a noticeable nutmeg note. It's warm and inviting, although a slightly synthetic edge is present compared to the smoother, more natural feel of the original. The heart leans heavily into the caramel and hazelnut, creating a sweet gourmand vibe. Ginger Biscuit has a more prominent biscuity element, while this pushes the sweeter notes further. The drydown settles into a pleasant vanilla and tonka bean base. I'd say it’s about 87% similar to the original but with a sweeter, less nuanced approach.

Longevity & Projection

Longevity is moderate. I get around 4-5 hours on skin with decent projection for the first hour, then it sits closer. On clothing, it lasts a bit longer, perhaps 6-7 hours. It's not a powerhouse, but it performs adequately . Don't expect room-filling sillage. Yes, it lacks some of the refinement and natural ingredients of the Jo Malone, and it leans sweeter. But it delivers a respectable, wearable fragrance. If you demand the absolute best and don't mind paying a premium, stick with the original. However, for casual wear and those on a tight budget, this is a worthwhile gamble. For the casual enjoyer, this gets the job done.
