First Impressions & Dry Down

Love Cherry opens with a blast of artificial cherry – think cherry cough syrup mixed with marzipan. The bitter almond is present, but it leans towards a powdered, dusty nuance rather than a creamy richness. The liquor note is muted, almost undetectable. As it dries down, the sour cherry emerges, but it lacks the juicy, fleshy character of a real cherry. The plum adds a slight jammy sweetness, fighting against a soapy rose that surfaces quickly. The base reveals a tonka bean note that's more like vanilla extract and a sandalwood that is quite faint. The vetiver is undetectable, which is a positive. The overall effect is a sweet, slightly medicinal cherry accord that morphs into powdery floral vanilla.

Longevity & Projection

Longevity is moderate, around 4-5 hours on my skin. Projection is initially strong, easily filling a small room, but it quickly settles down to a skin scent within an hour. I tested it at the office, and it didn't offend anyone, but the synthetic quality became more apparent in the controlled environment.

To Buy or Not to Buy?

This scent profile would suit a younger person who enjoys very sweet fragrances. Think of someone who enjoys cherry lip gloss and has a penchant for novelty scents. Someone who prioritizes sweetness and doesn't mind a less refined fragrance profile. This is not for a collector seeking complexity or realism.
