Notes & Nuances
Elania opens with a bright, tart accord of rhubarb and lychee. The bergamot is present, but more subdued than in Delina. The immediate impression is a fruity-rose, achieving approximately 85% similarity to the original's opening. The heart reveals a strong Turkish rose, a slightly powdery peony, and a noticeable vanilla. It diverges a little here; the vanilla is amped up, making it sweeter than Delina's more subtle sweetness. The drydown is primarily musk and cashmeran. The vetiver is barely detectable on my skin. This is where Elania loses ground. Delina has a brighter, more sophisticated drydown. The cashmeran here is slightly synthetic, lacking the original's creamy smoothness.
Projection Power
Longevity is moderate. I get about 6 hours on skin, and 8 hours on clothing. Projection is strong for the first hour, leaving a noticeable scent trail, before settling closer to the skin. It becomes a skin scent after about 3 hours. It performs well point.
Final Thoughts
Elania offers a very respectable interpretation of Delina. At this price, the slight synthetic edge in the drydown is forgivable. If you love the Delina DNA but find the price prohibitive, Elania is a good option to satisfy the craving. But for casual wear, Elania delivers a similar impact. This is a solid purchase for rose lovers on a budget.
