The Scent Profile
X-Bolt opens with a familiar, fruity sweetness; apple and plum are present, though the lemon feels a bit more like lemon cleaner than a fresh zest. It’s hitting around 95% of Boss Bottled in the opening. The cinnamon is dialed up in the heart, making it spicier but less refined. Mahogany is present, but a synthetic woodiness creeps in. The drydown offers a vanillic sweetness but loses the creamy sandalwood of the original. Cedar is more prominent here, giving it a slightly sharper, drier finish.
How Long Does it Last?
Longevity is surprisingly decent. I got about 4 hours of noticeable projection before it sat closer to the skin. After 6 hours, it was a faint vanilla skin scent. Don't expect beast mode; this is a moderate performer at best. that's acceptable. It's not a perfect match, and the synthetic undertones are undeniable, especially on close inspection. But if you're looking for a cheap daily driver that captures the essence of Boss Bottled without breaking the bank, X-Bolt will do the job. A solid choice for a young guy on a tight budget or someone who wants a gym fragrance.
