Notes & Nuances

Blanc opens with a blast of pistachio, alright, but it’s closer to pistachio *flavored* cough syrup than the real nut. The bergamot adds a fleeting citrus zing before the whole thing collapses into a tuberose and ylang-ylang heart that smells aggressively floral, almost cloying. Think potpourri left too long in a humid bathroom. The jasmine struggles to cut through the heavy sweetness. As it dries down, the promised coconut emerges, but it's a suntan lotion accord with a plasticky edge. The amber and tonka provide a vaguely sweet base, but can't quite rescue it from smelling synthetic. Where its inspiration aims for creamy sophistication, Blanc settles for a sugary, slightly headache-inducing imitation.

How Long Does it Last?

On my skin, Blanc lasts approximately 4-5 hours, becoming a skin scent after the first hour. Projection is initially strong, filling a small room, then quickly receding to about an arm's length. I wore it on a casual workday and found myself wishing I hadn't. The sweetness became quite tiresome.

To Buy or Not to Buy?

If Blanc were a movie character, it would be the try-hard sorority sister who desperately wants to be seen as elegant, but ends up looking like she's wearing someone else's clothes.
