Final Thoughts
Art of Arabia I is a solid clone. It's not a perfect replica, but it captures the general vibe of Imagination well enough. If you crave that clean, citrusy-tea fragrance but can't stomach the Vuitton price tag, this is a worthy substitute. This gets you close enough for daily wear without breaking the bank. Recommended for budget-conscious fragrance lovers.
Notes & Nuances
Art of Arabia I isn't shy about its inspiration: Louis Vuitton's Imagination. The opening bursts with a pleasant citrus, a bit brighter and sharper than the original's smoother bergamot. The tea note is present, but less refined. Where Imagination feels like a high-end tea ceremony, this is a teabag from the corner store. The drydown, however, is where it shines. The ambroxan and musk create a very similar clean, woody base, capturing about 95% of Imagination's essence. It's undeniably pleasant, even if it lacks the original's nuanced sophistication. You can detect some synthetic edges, especially in the opening.
Longevity & Projection
Don't expect beast mode. Art of Arabia I projects moderately for the first hour, creating a noticeable scent bubble. After that, it settles closer to the skin. Longevity is decent; I get about 6-7 hours on skin, longer on clothes. It's perfectly acceptable point, but it's not going to last you all day without a respray.
