Is it Worth It?

California Vibe is a decent option if you're curious about the California Dream DNA. Is it a perfect dupe? No. The synthetic edges are apparent, especially in the opening. But, given the price difference (we're talking maybe 1/10th of the cost), it's a worthwhile compromise for budget-conscious buyers. If you need absolute top-tier quality and natural ingredients, save for the original. But, if you want a casual, warm-weather fragrance that's easy on the wallet, this is a solid grab. Good for everyday wear.

First Impressions & Dry Down

California Vibe opens with a blast of mandarin. It's bright, but noticeably synthetic compared to the real California Dream. That opening fades quickly, morphing into a pear and ambrette heart. The pear is juicy, but again, a little artificial smelling. California Dream has a smoother, more natural pear. The drydown is where this clone gets closest: a soft musk and slightly resinous benzoin. It mimics the creamy finish of the LV fragrance respectably, maybe 89% there.

How Long Does it Last?

Longevity is moderate. I get about 5-6 hours on skin, projecting modestly for the first hour or two. It becomes a skin scent relatively quickly. Don’t expect this to fill a room; it’s more of a personal bubble scent.
