First Impressions & Dry Down

Lattafa's Opulent Oud aims for Giorgio Armani's Oud Royal, and gets pretty darn close. Right off the bat, you get a blast of saffron, maybe a touch more synthetic-smelling than the original, but it fades quickly. The heart is where it shines: a smooth oud and rose combo. It's not challenging oud; think more "woody rose" than barnyard. The drydown is a pleasant mix of sandalwood, amber, and a hint of incense. It deviates a bit here. Oud Royal is drier, this leans slightly sweeter in the base. Overall, I'd say it's a solid 92% dupe.

Projection Power

This stuff performs! I get a solid 7-8 hours on my skin. Projection is moderate for the first couple of hours, leaving a nice scent trail. It settles closer to the skin after that, but still noticeable. It's definitely beast mode compared to what you'd expect .
