Qaa'ed isn't a perfect replica, but it captures the essence of Nuit D'Issey Polaris . The opening can be harsh, but the cozy, leathery drydown is genuinely appealing. This is for the guy who wants a sophisticated, slightly mysterious vibe without breaking the bank. If you demand hyper-realistic refinement, stick with the original. But if you're comfortable with a few rough edges and value a good deal, Qaa'ed deserves a spot in your collection.

Olfactory Experience

Qaa'ed opens with a bracing, almost medicinal blast of pepper and cypress. It mimics Nuit D'Issey Polaris reasonably well, perhaps 89% there. However, the bergamot lacks the original's sparkle, hinting at a synthetic edge. The heart dives into a woody core – oud, patchouli, cedar – a touch darker and more pronounced than Polaris. Less smooth. The drydown reveals a surprisingly creamy leather, smoothed with vanilla and amber. This is where Qaa'ed carves its own path, feeling slightly warmer, a touch more gourmand.
