Notes & Nuances
The Kingdom aims squarely at Le Male Elixir's honeyed vanilla heart. The opening has that familiar lavender-mint blast, but it's a bit rougher around the edges, a tad more synthetic. Not unpleasant, but noticeably less refined. The heart delivers the goods – a thick, sweet vanilla and honey accord that's the core of the Elixir DNA. Here, The Kingdom gets about 95% of the way there. The dry down introduces a pleasant, if slightly muted, tobacco and tonka bean. It lacks the depth and nuance of the original's base.
Longevity & Projection
Projection is strong for the first hour, filling a room nicely. After that, it settles into a more personal bubble. Longevity is impressive; I get a solid 7-8 hours on skin. Don't expect beast mode, but it's far from weak. the performance punches well above its weight class.
Bottom Line
The Kingdom isn't a perfect replica, but it's a damn good imitation. You get most of the experience . A worthwhile purchase for the budget-conscious fragrance enthusiast.
