No. 444 opens with a rush of candied cherry and marzipan. It’s less boozy than its muse and more akin to cherry-flavored hard candies melting on a hot dashboard. The almond has a slightly acrid, almost Play-Doh quality. As it settles, the sour cherry emerges, thankfully cutting through some of the initial sweetness, joined by a jammy plum note. The rose is very subtle, almost undetectable under the weight of the fruit. The base introduces a creamy tonka bean which sweetens the lingering cherry. However, the sandalwood is almost non-existent. Instead, a slightly green, rooty vetiver creeps in, adding an unexpected vegetal dryness.

Final Thoughts

This fragrance is best suited for cool autumn days or evenings. The sweetness might become cloying in the summer heat. I imagine someone wearing this is flirty, a little mischievous, and enjoys making a statement without shouting. It's a fragrance for date nights and intimate gatherings, projecting a sense of playful confidence.

On my skin, No. 444 lasts approximately 5-6 hours. Projection is moderate for the first hour, reaching about an arm's length, then quickly settles closer to the skin. I wore this during a chilly evening walk and found it quickly faded into the cold air. I also tested it at an indoor dinner party, where it lingered subtly, detectable only upon close contact.
