Wave opens with a blast of mandarin and mint, that familiar Allure Homme Sport Eau Extrême vibe is immediately present. The cypress adds a pleasant, slightly woody edge. The heart reveals sage and pepper, and the tonka bean softens things out. It leans a bit sweeter, less sharply citrus, than the Chanel. The drydown is where it differs most, with a slightly more prominent sandalwood and musk. It’s about 80% of the way to the original. It has a *touch* of that synthetic "clone" vibe, but it's not overpowering.

Final Thoughts

Wave is a fantastic option. It's not a 1:1 dupe, the Chanel is undoubtedly smoother and more refined, but for everyday wear, especially in warmer weather, Wave will get the job done. If you want a compliment getter for the gym, office, or running errands, grab Wave.

Performance Reality Check
