Olfactory Experience
XS is a solid shot at Creed's Himalaya. The opening is bright – definitely getting that lemon and bergamot punch. It's not quite as natural smelling as Himalaya; you can tell there's a synthetic edge, especially in the first few minutes. After that, the sandalwood starts to come forward, a creamy, slightly sweet wood note. The dry down is where it shines. Musk and cedar give it a clean, masculine vibe, but there's a noticeable ambergris aroma. Overall? I'd say it's about 90% similar to Himalaya. The main difference is the lack of Creed's signature mineral note and the slightly less refined opening.
Longevity & Projection
Longevity is surprisingly good. I get a solid 6-7 hours on my skin. Projection is moderate for the first hour or so, then it settles down to a skin scent. Perfect for the office. This isn't a beast mode fragrance.
Conclusion
If you love the idea of Himalaya but can't stomach the Creed price tag, XS is a very worthwhile alternative. you get a very similar fragrance that performs reasonably well. This is a great daily driver for anyone looking for a clean, fresh, and slightly woody scent. Highly recommended.
