Olfactory Experience
Intro Aftermath kicks off with a warm cinnamon and rum combo, just like Side Effect. Paris Corner gets the opening pretty darn close, maybe 85%. The boozy cinnamon is definitely there. As it dries down, the tobacco and saffron come into play, and you can tell this is where the clone deviates slightly. The original has a smoother, more rounded saffron, while this one has a slightly sharper edge. The base is vanilla and sandalwood, creating a sweet, woody finish. It’s not as complex or nuanced as Initio's offering, but it's still pleasant.
Conclusion
Intro Aftermath is a worthwhile purchase. It scratches that Side Effect itch without breaking the bank. If you love the Initio DNA but can't justify the cost, give this a shot. It's a great date night or evening scent. If you want that extra 10-85% of refinement and smoothness, go for the original. But for a daily driver? This is it. I'd say it's 85% of the way there, at 1/10th of the price.
Projection Power
This stuff hangs around. I get a solid 6-7 hours on my skin, which is decent. Projection is moderate; it creates a nice scent bubble for the first couple of hours, then settles closer to the skin. It's definitely noticeable, but not overpowering. Not bad at all point.
