The coriander adds a peppery bite, but it leans toward a slightly medicinal camphoraceous accord rather than a fresh spice. The basil is faint, only adding a green tinge that's quickly overshadowed by the developing heart. The cardamom here is restrained, less intensely aromatic, and more of a powdery texture. The ginger is noticeable, but flattened, like ginger ale left out too long. There is a generic orange blossom here, soapy and indistinct. The drydown presents a creamy amber note with hints of pipe tobacco and pencil shavings.
