The Scent Profile
Voux Turquoise aims squarely for Xerjoff's Erba Pura. The opening is a blast of bright citrus – orange and lemon taking the lead. It's undeniably similar, perhaps 85% of the way there. However, the fruit has a slightly synthetic edge compared to the smoother, more natural fruitiness of the original. The heart develops with a syrupy peach and pear accord. I get a whisper of jasmine, but the fruit dominates. The drydown is where it diverges most. It lands on a sweet vanilla musk with a noticeable amber note. Erba Pura has a creamier, less pronounced vanilla. It lacks that same depth and complexity.
Projection Power
This stuff projects. Seriously, it fills a room for the first two hours. Longevity is also impressive. I get a solid 7-8 hours on skin, even longer on clothes. Be warned, it can be a bit overwhelming if oversprayed. Two sprays are probably enough.
Is it Worth It?
Voux Turquoise is a decent Erba Pura alternative, especially . Yes, there's a synthetic vibe, especially in the opening. Yes, the drydown isn't quite as refined. But it's a worthwhile option for those who love the Erba Pura DNA but aren't willing to shell out the big bucks. If you want something that smells expensive on a budget, this is it. If you demand photorealistic fruit and ultimate refinement, stick with Xerjoff.
