Is it Worth It?
Hawas Ice is a solid warm weather fragrance. It’s not perfect, the synthetics are a bit more noticeable, but it's definitely mass-appealing and easy to wear. Great for the gym, running errands, or just hanging out in the sun. This is a great deal.
Notes & Nuances
Hawas Ice tries its best to mimic Invictus Aqua 2016, and gets surprisingly close. The opening is a blast of grapefruit and salty marine notes, almost identical to the original. I get a touch more mandarin here, giving it a slightly sweeter edge upfront. The heart shifts into a fresh, green bay leaf and violet accord. It's nice, though a little more synthetic than the OG. The base is where it diverges most. The ambroxan (not ambergris!) and woods are more pronounced. It's missing some of the smooth creaminess that makes Invictus Aqua 2016 so good, maybe 90% the same scent profile.
Wear time & Sillage
This stuff performs decently. I get about 6 hours on my skin with moderate projection for the first 2 hours. It sits closer to the skin after that, but it's still noticeable. Good for a work day. Reapplication might be needed for a night out.
