Scentonym Analysis
Our objective metric for performance per dollar.
Bottom Line
Look, this isn’t going to fool anyone who knows Pure Havana well. The synthetic touches are noticeable. *However*, if you crave that tobacco-honey-vanilla DNA and can’t stomach the often inflated prices of the original (or its scarcity), Insurrection II Wild is a worthy substitute. It scratches the itch for pennies on the dollar. Is Pure Havana ten times better? Objectively, yes. Is it ten times *worth* the price? Absolutely not. Buy this and enjoy the scent profile without breaking the bank.
How it Smells
Insurrection II Wild punches you with a tobacco and honey opening that’s surprisingly decent. It’s aiming for Pure Havana’s warm, boozy vibe, and gets… close-ish. Maybe 85% there. The honey here is definitely less refined, a bit rougher around the edges. The heart follows with vanilla and cacao, but they lean synthetic, lacking the smooth depth of the original. Dry down is amber, patchouli, and a touch of styrax which helps to give a bit of much needed depth. It's not unpleasant, but you can tell it's built on a budget.
The Performance Stats
This is where it shines . Insurrection II Wild lasts. I got a solid 6-7 hours on skin, projecting moderately for the first 2 hours, then settling closer. On clothes? Easily lasts all day. It projects well enough that people will notice, but it’s not going to fill a room. Good performance point.
