Scent Breakdown

Noble Oud bursts open with a boisterous tobacco leaf note, laced with piquant spices. However, instead of a refined, mature tobacco, it leans towards the scent of pipe tobacco stored in a damp cellar. The heart introduces a dominant vanilla that's dense and sugary – imagine vanilla extract mixed with a heaping tablespoon of brown sugar. The tonka bean provides a powdery depth, but lacks the smooth, nutty character found in its inspiration. The dry down is where the fragrance truly distinguishes itself, taking a turn towards dried dates and dusty cedar. The woody notes feel somewhat hollow, lacking the robust warmth of aged oak. There's a slight synthetic edge present – a faint undercurrent of vinyl.

Performance Reality Check

This scent showcases commendable staying power, clinging to the skin for approximately 7 hours. Projection is initially moderate, reaching about an arm's length for the first 2 hours, then gradually receding to a skin scent. I wore it while working from home and found it comforting. Testing at a busy coffee shop felt overpowering.
