Souvenir Blooming Bliss

7.2 Value Rating

"### To Buy or Not to Buy? Souvenir Blooming Bliss is a respectable attempt at capturing the essence of Vanilla Powder. It lacks some of the refinement and depth, but it provides a similar experience . If you enjoy the concept of Vanilla Powder but are hesitant to spend the high price, this clone is a viable alternative. However, connoisseurs seeking the full complexity of the original might find it lacking. Original is worth the extra spend, depending on budget. ### Olfactory Experience Souvenir Blooming Bliss aims for the airy vanilla experience of Vanilla Powder, and achieves approximately 92% accuracy. The opening presents a vanilla accord; not a pure vanilla extract rendition, but one with an almost powdery texture. The heart introduces the promised coconut and palo santo. The coconut is subtle, more of a creamy undertone than a distinct aroma. The palo santo, while present, lacks the nuanced woodiness found in Matiere Premiere's original; it's a simplified version. The drydown is predominantly white musk, which contributes to the overall clean feel, but also introduces a slight synthetic edge not present in the inspiration. It is less complex. ### Wear time & Sillage Longevity is moderate. On skin, Blooming Bliss provides a noticeable scent bubble for around 3-4 hours, then settles into a skin scent for another 2-3. Projection is relatively soft; it's not a room-filling fragrance. It is office-safe and unlikely to offend."

Fursan White

"### The Verdict Fursan White is a solid budget option for Vanilla Powder fans. If you crave that creamy, woody vanilla but balk at the original's price tag, this is a worthwhile compromise. Is it as refined? No. But at a tenth of the price, the compromises are acceptable. Perfect for everyday wear, layering, or someone just starting to explore vanilla fragrances. If you are a Vanilla Powder purist, stick with the OG. ### How it Smells Fursan White aims for Vanilla Powder, and gets respectably close. The opening is a blast of vanilla, but it's immediately apparent this is a budget version. There's a slightly synthetic edge, think vanilla extract instead of a proper vanilla bean. The coconut in the heart emerges quickly, adding a creamy sweetness. The Palo Santo is present, lending a woody backbone but is a little subdued compared to the original Matiere Premiere. The drydown is mostly white musk, clean and linear. I'd say it captures 90% of Vanilla Powder's DNA, but lacks the depth and nuance. ### Wear time & Sillage Performance is surprisingly good . It projects moderately for the first 2 hours, creating a nice scent bubble. Longevity is decent; I get around 6-7 hours on skin, which is acceptable. It becomes a skin scent after the third hour. Don't expect beast mode, but it’s not fleeting."
