The Scent Profile

Amber Oud Aqua Dubai opens with a bright, if slightly synthetic, burst of citrus. It’s a decent take on the bergamot and citrus in Louis Vuitton's Imagination but lacks the original’s sparkling natural feel. The black tea note comes in fairly quickly, blended with a peppery kick. Where it deviates is in the drydown. Imagination has a smoother, more refined ambergris accord. This clone leans heavier on the ambroxan and woods, coming across a bit rougher and more masculine. I'd say it captures maybe 85% of the original's DNA.

Projection Power

This stuff actually performs pretty well, especially considering the price. I get a solid 6-7 hours on my skin with moderate projection for the first couple of hours. It creates a nice scent bubble. Don't expect beast mode, but it's definitely noticeable. It's not a perfect dupe, missing some of the original's elegance. But it’s a no-brainer. Good for the office, casual wear, or anytime you want a fresh, clean scent without breaking the bank. This one gets the job done.
