Scent Breakdown
Azlan Oud Bleu Edition throws a pretty good punch right off the bat. You get that familiar spicy kick of nutmeg and cinnamon, trying its best to mimic Sauvage Elixir. The cardamom adds a touch of freshness that helps it from being too cloying. However, it lacks the refined, almost photorealistic quality of the Dior. The lavender in the heart is present, but not as dominant. It transitions to a base of licorice and sandalwood, but there's a noticeable synthetic amber that lingers longer than it should. I'd say it's about 88% similar to Elixir, but the differences are more pronounced in the dry down.
Wear time & Sillage
This stuff projects! Seriously, two sprays is PLENTY. You'll easily get 6-8 hours of noticeable scent bubble and it sticks to clothes like glue. I got about 10 hours on skin, but the dry down became a bit muddled and less appealing. the performance is impressive, but don't overspray or you'll suffocate everyone around you.
Bottom Line
It gets you close enough to the original that most people won't know the difference, especially in the opening. It's a great daily driver for the cooler months, perfect for the office or a night out. Just be aware of the synthetic notes in the dry down. This scratches the itch .
