First Impressions & Dry Down
Junoon Rose opens with a powdered blast of heliotrope and a zing of bergamot – pretty close to Blossom Love, maybe 87% there. The heart is where it shifts slightly. The cherry blossom is present, but the amaretto note is more forward, lending a marzipan-like sweetness. I don’t pick up much ylang-ylang. The base is a comforting blend of tonka and vanilla, with a *hint* of suede. Where Blossom Love feels airy and sophisticated, Junoon Rose leans a touch sweeter and denser, especially in the dry down. It's got a slightly synthetic edge, particularly in the opening, but it's forgivable.
The Performance Stats
This isn't a beast mode fragrance. Expect around 5-6 hours of wear, with moderate projection for the first hour or two. After that, it sits closer to the skin. It's office-friendly and won't offend. You might need to reapply in the late afternoon. If you love the original but can't stomach the Amouage price tag, this is a worthy contender. If you prefer less sweetness, the original is undoubtedly better. This is a great daily driver for the gourmand-leaning fragrance lover on a budget.
