Leather Oudh bursts forth with a surprisingly nuanced opening. The thyme note isn’t herbaceous, rather it offers a dry, almost hay-like counterpoint to the saffron's subtle metallic tang. Instead of Tuscan Leather’s immediate blast of candied raspberry, here we find a more subdued olibanum incense that lends a contemplative air. The heart quickly unveils the leather, a dominant force – less new car, more well-worn saddle. The jasmine is almost imperceptible, a whisper preventing the leather from becoming entirely monolithic. The drydown diverges notably; where the inspiration maintains a plush, velvety dimension, this descends into a drier territory. The woody notes lean toward cedar shavings and the suede accord exhibits a slight plasticky inclination. The amber provides warmth, but lacks the opulent depth present in the blueprint.

Longevity & Projection

Longevity is impressive; I got a solid 7-8 hours on skin. Projection is initially quite strong, filling a room for the first hour or so, then settling to about an arm's length for the remainder. I tested it in an office setting and it commanded attention without being obnoxious.
