Royal Amber goes straight for the Erba Pura jugular. That bright, fruity opening of orange, lemon and bergamot is instantly recognizable, though a touch harsher, less refined than the Xerjoff. The peach and pear heart mimic the original well, but a slight synthetic edge creeps in here – think hairspray with a fruit candy twist. The jasmine is barely present. The drydown of vanilla, musk, and amber is where it pulls closer to Erba Pura, becoming a sweet, musky skin scent. I’d say it captures roughly 86% of the Erba Pura vibe but with a noticeable drop in overall quality.

How Long Does it Last?

This stuff projects. Loudly. Expect a solid 2-3 hours of serious sillage, filling a room with its fruity aroma. Longevity is impressive ; I get a good 8+ hours as a skin scent. Be warned, overspraying turns it cloying and synthetic. Two sprays are plenty.

The Verdict

Royal Amber is a decent budget alternative if you crave the Erba Pura scent profile but can’t stomach the Xerjoff price tag. However, understand you’re sacrificing refinement for affordability. If you're after a smoother, more natural composition, save up for the original. But if you want a cheap, fruity bomb for casual wear, this does the trick. For everyone else? This clone gets you close enough .
