Forever Blue wants to be that effortlessly cool girl grabbing pistachio gelato on a Roman holiday. The opening hits you with a blast of sugary pistachio and a creamy, albeit slightly synthetic, ice cream accord. Bergamot tries to cut through the sweetness, but mostly plays a supporting role. It's reminiscent of Kayali's Yum Pistachio Gelato 33, roughly 87% there. The heart introduces a playful floral bouquet - lily, pear and jasmine. The original has a deeper, more nuanced rose. Where it really diverges is the drydown. Whipped cream, marshmallow and cotton candy make it cloyingly sweet. It leans into a sticky gourmand territory that the Kayali avoids.

Performance Reality Check

Longevity is surprisingly decent. I get about 5-6 hours on skin, projecting moderately for the first hour before settling closer. On clothes, it lingers much longer, easily an entire day. It’s not a beast mode fragrance, but it holds its own.

Forever Blue is a fun, flirty fragrance. If you crave the pistachio ice cream vibe but can't justify the Kayali price tag, this is a worthy contender. It's a bit less refined, a bit more sugary, but ultimately delivers the desired sugary punch. It's for the girl who doesn't take herself too seriously and wants to smell deliciously edible.
