Olfactory Experience

London Oud kicks off with a blast of woody oud, a touch of violet leaf, and a hint of cypress. It aims for the same sophisticated opening as Widian's London, but falls slightly short. This clone has a definite synthetic edge in the initial spray; the oud isn't as smooth or refined. The raspberry and lily-of-the-valley emerge in the heart, lending a fruity-floral sweetness that's enjoyable, if not groundbreaking. The drydown is where it shines, revealing a pleasant blend of leather, vanilla, and amber. It's warm, inviting, and more aligned with the original, though a bit less complex. I'd say it captures around 75% of the Widian DNA.

Wear time & Sillage

Longevity is decent. I get about 6-7 hours on my skin. Projection is moderate for the first hour, then it settles into a skin scent. It's noticeable, but not overpowering. Perfect for the office.

Is it Worth It?

London Oud is a solid option. If you crave the Widian London experience on a budget, this will scratch that itch. It has some rough edges, particularly in the opening, but the drydown is worth the wait.
