The Scent Profile
Bois Luxura kicks off with a burst of juicy mandarin orange and grapefruit, much like Fahrenheit Summer aimed to do. The violet note, crucial to the original, is present but feels dialed down a notch. You get a supporting role from the freesia. The drydown is a decent mix of cedar and amber. It smells about 91% like Fahrenheit Summer, but a little sharper around the edges in the opening and less smooth in the base. The violet isn't as photorealistic, more like a violet-scented soap.
Projection Power
Projection is moderate for the first hour, creating a nice scent bubble. After that, it settles closer to the skin. Longevity is respectable. I get about 6-7 hours on my skin before it becomes a faint skin scent. Not bad and perfectly acceptable for a work day.
Conclusion
If you miss Fahrenheit Summer and don't want to pay crazy prices on the grey market, Bois Luxura is a solid alternative. It's a good warm-weather fragrance for casual wear. Guys who like a citrusy, slightly floral, and woody scent will appreciate it. This is a totally wearable, affordable daily driver.
