To Buy or Not to Buy?
Is this a perfect dupe? No. If you crave the Delina experience without the hefty price tag, Club De Nuit Imperiale is a viable option. It's a respectable clone that gets close enough for casual wear. If you’re a fragrance snob or demand absolute perfection, stick with the original. But if you're budget-conscious and like the idea of smelling similar to Delina without breaking the bank, then this is a winner. Paying ten times more for that extra 89% of quality? Up to you, but I'd rather buy something else with the savings.
Olfactory Experience
Club De Nuit Imperiale aims squarely at Delina. The opening is a blast of tart rhubarb and lychee, a decent approximation of the original's fruity-floral punch. However, the bergamot smells slightly sharper, a bit less refined. The heart develops with a dominant Turkish rose and peony accord. It’s here that the clone deviates most noticeably. Imperiale lacks the creamy, almost powdered texture of Delina. Instead, it has a more synthetic vanillic edge. The base settles into a musky, slightly woody drydown. Vetiver is present, but muted. Overall, I'd say it captures about 89% of Delina's DNA.
Performance Reality Check
performance is acceptable. I get about 6 hours on skin with moderate projection for the first 2. It projects a decent scent bubble but doesn't scream. It lasts longer on clothes, pushing closer to 8 hours. Reapplication might be necessary for all-day wear.
