The Scent Profile
Legesi opens with a surprisingly strident lavender – not the calming kind, but more like lavender dryer sheets mixed with a blast of astringent rosemary. A touch of neroli tries to peek through, but mostly gets trampled. The heart attempts a refined gentlemanly accord with geranium and clary sage, but a grassy, almost bitter galbanum note throws it off balance, creating a slightly sour impression. The drydown is where the wheels fall off. Instead of rich oakmoss and earthy vetiver, there’s a vaguely woody cedar note struggling against a growing synthetic ambergris that smells suspiciously like pencil shavings. It echoes Platinum Egoiste's vibe, but only distantly, like a blurry photograph.
How Long Does it Last?
Legesi lasts around 5-6 hours on my skin, projecting within about an arm's length for the first hour, then quickly fading to a skin scent. I wore it to the grocery store and received zero compliments – not that I was expecting any.
Bottom Line
If Legesi were a character in a movie, it would be the well-meaning, but awkward cousin who tries to copy the cool older brother and fails miserably.
