The Verdict
Opulentia Inverno captures the essence of Silver Mountain Water . It’s for the person who appreciates a clean, invigorating scent profile and wants to project quiet confidence. The subtle differences make it more of an inspired interpretation, but it's a very good one. Otherwise, Inverno offers immense value and is a smart buy for the modern minimalist.
The Scent Profile
Opulentia Inverno opens with a brisk citrus – a vibrant bergamot and mandarin tandem. There's a definite echo of Silver Mountain Water here, maybe 85% of the way there. The green tea note is present, clean and crisp, but the blackcurrant isn’t as pronounced or photorealistic as Creed's. Inverno heads toward a musky dry down quicker. The sandalwood is a whisper, more of a suggestion than a strong presence. A slight synthetic edge lingers, particularly in the opening, but it dissipates quickly.
How Long Does it Last?
The performance is respectable, not beastly. Expect around 5-6 hours on skin, projecting moderately for the first hour, then settling into a close-to-the-skin scent. On clothing, it hangs on a bit longer, closer to 8 hours. It's an office-friendly fragrance; you won’t gas anyone out.
