Scentonym Analysis
Our objective metric for performance per dollar.
Bottom Line
For the money, it’s a good alternative to Elysium. It gets you close to that bright, citrusy-aquatic vibe, even if it lacks the refinement and natural ingredients of the original. This clone gives you a solid approximation . Grab it if you want a casual, easy-to-wear fresh scent.
Olfactory Experience
A Fragheads Asylum by FOMO tries its best to mimic Elysium. The opening hits you with a blast of grapefruit and lemon, pretty similar to the original, maybe 88% there. It's bright, a little synthetic-smelling in the first few minutes, but it calms down. The heart develops quickly, with vetiver and a hint of juniper. The black currant is there, but it's fainter than in Elysium; almost a generic dark fruitiness. The drydown is where it deviates most. It's got a decent ambergris note, but the leather feels a little rougher and the vanilla is more prominent, making it slightly sweeter than Roja Dove's masterpiece.
Longevity & Projection
This isn't a powerhouse. It projects moderately for about an hour, creating a nice scent bubble. After that, it settles into a skin scent that lasts for maybe 5-6 hours. You’ll need to reapply if you want to keep it going all day. Not bad point, but don't expect beast mode.
