The Verdict
Abraaj Brackish is a worthwhile alternative if you're curious about the Bracken Man DNA but don't want to drop serious cash. It's a good daily driver, perfect for the office or casual outings. It's a bit too synthetic to be truly dressed up. If you just want the *idea* of Bracken Man, Brackish will do the job just fine.
Notes & Nuances
Abraaj Brackish comes in hot with a blast of cloves and cypress, trying hard to mimic that green, forest-floor vibe of Amouage's Bracken Man. The lavender's there, but it's a bit scratchy. The heart is where it deviates most. The geranium and cinnamon try their best, but the cedar feels a touch synthetic here. Drydown leans heavily into a clean patchouli and a surprisingly strong musk. It's in the ballpark of Bracken Man, maybe 86% similar. The biggest difference is the smoother, more refined blending of the original. Brackish has some rough edges.
The Performance Stats
Not bad . I get a solid 6-7 hours on skin. Projection is decent for the first hour, radiating about arm's length, then settles closer. It's not a beast, but it's noticeable. Expect to reapply if you want to keep that opening going strong.
