How it Smells

Amber D'Or opens like a sun-drenched citrus grove. The orange and lemon are juicy, amped up, think orange soda, not a delicate Italian garden. There's a slight sharpness, a synthetic tang that Erba Pura avoids. The heart emerges quickly – a sugary peach and pear mix. It's pleasant, if a bit linear. The jasmine is barely there. The dry down leans heavily into vanilla and musk. Amber adds warmth, but the overall effect is a fluffy, sweet cloud. Compared to Erba Pura, it captures about 85% of the original's DNA but loses the complexity and airy feel. Erba Pura shimmers; Amber D'Or glows, less refined.
