Olfactory Experience
Grandeur's Pacific Woods is clearly gunning for that Carolina Herrera Cobalt Blue vibe. The opening gets close, maybe 89% there. You get the pink pepper snap, a lavender that's a bit rougher around the edges than the original, less refined. The plum in the heart is detectable, adding a touch of sweetness. As it dries down, the differences become more obvious. The truffle note, instead of adding earthiness, comes across a bit synthetic. Vetiver and cedar are present, but lack the nuanced depth of Cobalt Blue. It's a decent attempt, but it smells like a clone.
How Long Does it Last?
Don't expect beast mode. Pacific Woods projects moderately for about an hour. After that, it becomes a skin scent. Longevity is acceptable; I get around 5-6 hours. that’s reasonable. You will probably need to reapply. Just understand that you're getting a simplified, less polished version. But is it ten times better? Absolutely. For a cheap daily driver, Pacific Woods fits the bill. Buy this only if you have very tight budget. Otherwise, save your money and buy Cobalt Blue.
