To Buy or Not to Buy?
Addicted Imperial offers a reasonable approximation of Millesime Imperial, hitting many of the key elements. However, the synthetic quality in the opening and the less refined base notes are noticeable.
Olfactory Experience
Addicted Imperial opens with a prominent, slightly candied fruity accord. This deviates from Millesime Imperial's more natural, almost saline-touched fruit. The sea salt note attempts to replicate the Creed original but presents with a noticeably synthetic sharpness initially. Sicilian lemon and bergamot emerge, but the iris is fainter and less powdery than in the inspiration. As it transitions, the base attempts to emulate the sea notes and musk, but the woody notes feel more generic, lacking the refined ambergris-like quality of the original Creed. Overall, I'd place it around 88% similar, with the opening being the biggest departure.
The Performance Stats
Longevity is moderate. On skin, expect around 5-6 hours. Projection is initially moderate for the first hour, then quickly settles closer to the skin. Not a powerhouse.
