Scent Breakdown

Amber & Leather kicks off with a bold cardamom, almost too sharp, that gives way to a prominent, almost gasoline-like leather accord. It's not quite the supple leather jacket vibe you might expect. This is more like the inside of a new car, complete with that distinctive chemical tang. The jasmine is very subdued, thankfully. The base introduces a smooth amber, but unfortunately, the moss and patchouli feel muddled. It lacks the refined character of its inspiration, landing somewhere between a motorcycle shop and a slightly musty attic.

To Buy or Not to Buy?

This is a fragrance best suited for cooler weather. The strong leather and amber notes make it a bit too heavy for summer heat. I see this as a casual, weekend scent. Think biker bars, rock concerts, or maybe a bonfire. Definitely not a "boardroom" fragrance; too rough around the edges for formal occasions. I'd reach for it on a crisp autumn evening, if I were feeling rebellious and a bit edgy.

Longevity & Projection

I got a solid 6-7 hours out of Amber & Leather, with projection that stays within an arm's length for the first two hours, then settles closer to the skin. I wore it during a day of errands and a casual evening out. It holds up reasonably well, but the synthetic edge becomes more pronounced as it dries down. It's persistent, but not necessarily in a way that will garner compliments.
