How it Smells
Aromatic Rouge opens with a recognizable Bulgarian Rose, though a tad sharper than the original Kenzo Flower. The Hawthorn is present, lending a slightly green, powdery facet. Black Currant provides a brief, almost candied sweetness; synthetic edges are noticeable here. The heart features a prominent Parma Violet; powdery, almost chalky. The Rose remains, but it's less refined than in the opening. Opoponax adds a balsamic depth, slightly clashing with the violet. The base is where this diverges most from Flower. Vanilla is amped up, becoming almost gourmand. The White Musk is clean, but lacks the airy quality of the original. Incense is a muted whisper, adding a touch of dryness. Overall, I would estimate this clone captures approximately 92% of the original's DNA. The main difference lies in the base, which is sweeter and less balanced.
To Buy or Not to Buy?
Aromatic Rouge offers a respectable, albeit simplified, interpretation of Flower by Kenzo. While the synthetic elements are present, particularly in the opening and black currant note, the overall effect is pleasant. However, for a daily, casual wear, this clone serves its purpose.
Longevity & Projection
Longevity is moderate. I observed around 5-6 hours on skin. Projection is decent for the first hour, extending to about an arm's length. After that, it settles closer to the skin. It's a linear decline.
