First Impressions & Dry Down
Avant is Maison Alhambra's take on the legendary Aventus. The opening is immediately recognizable: pineapple and bergamot try to mimic the Creed, but it's noticeably sharper, a little more synthetic. The apple note is amped up too, making it sweeter than the original. The heart follows a similar path: birch, jasmine and patchouli are present but lack the smoky depth of Aventus. The drydown is where the biggest divergence lies. Avant leans heavily into a sweet vanilla musk, almost replacing the oakmoss entirely. I'd say it captures maybe 87% of the Aventus DNA.
Bottom Line
Avant is a solid option. It's not a perfect recreation of Aventus; the synthetic edge is undeniable. But it gets you in the ballpark, delivering a recognizable and wearable fragrance . Avant is a great choice for those who enjoy the Aventus profile but are unwilling to spend a fortune. A good daily driver.
Wear time & Sillage
Longevity is surprisingly decent. I got about 6 hours on my skin, with moderate projection for the first 2 hours. It quickly becomes a skin scent, but a pleasant one. It won't fill a room, but you'll smell good up close.
