To Buy or Not to Buy?

If you love the idea of Biblioteque but can’t stomach the price tag, Berlinetta is a solid option. It captures the essence of the original, with a slightly bolder, leather-forward twist. It's a great daily driver for fall and winter. If you demand hyper-realistic, nuanced fragrances, stick with Byredo.

The Scent Profile

Berlinetta opens with a juicy plum, not as photorealistic as Byredo's Biblioteque, but definitely in the same ballpark. There's a touch of peach, adding to the fruity sweetness. The violet and peony in the heart are present, though slightly muted compared to the OG. Where this diverges is in the base. The leather is more prominent here, a bit more raw, less refined. It’s a little synthetic, I’ll admit, but it's a minor gripe. The patchouli is also dialed up, adding earthiness missing in Biblioteque’s smoother vanilla dry down. Overall, it's about 92% similar to Biblioteque.

Longevity & Projection

Don't expect beast mode. Berlinetta projects moderately for the first hour, creating a nice scent bubble. After that, it settles closer to the skin. I get around 6-7 hours of wear. Not bad . Reapplication is a must if you want it to last all day.
