The Scent Profile
Decadent Dream opens with a juicy pear, not quite as photorealistic as Guidance, but close. The hazelnut is present, a touch nutty, but slightly overshadowed by the incense. It's maybe 88% similar to the original in the opening. The rose and osmanthus in the heart peek through, softened by saffron. I get a slightly synthetic edge here, unlike the smoother blend in Guidance. The drydown is sandalwood forward, with vanilla sweetness and the woody-patchouli Akigalawood. It's cozy, warm, and leans feminine. The drydown is where it most resembles Guidance, capturing that creamy, woody essence.
Bottom Line
Decadent Dream is a very good clone of Amouage's Guidance. It captures the essence of the original . Is it an exact dupe? No. Does it have some synthetic edges? Yes, especially in the heart. But it's a great daily wear option. The original probably isn't 10x better.
Longevity & Projection
This stuff lasts. I get a solid 7-8 hours on skin. Projection is moderate for the first 2 hours, then settles into a skin scent. It's not a beast mode fragrance, but it has decent longevity. A great performer .
