Olfactory Experience
Glacial Le Noir opens up pretty close to Le Male. You get that familiar blast of lavender and mint, but it's got a slightly sharper, more synthetic edge. The cardamom is there, but a bit dialed back. The heart moves into the cinnamon and orange blossom quickly. It’s not as smooth as the JPG. The drydown is where it veers off a little. The vanilla and tonka are amped up, making it sweeter and a touch cloying compared to the original's more balanced sandalwood base. I’d say it’s about 92% similar.
The Verdict
If you're looking for a cheap Le Male fix and don't want to shell out the big bucks, Glacial Le Noir is a solid option. It's not a perfect clone, but it captures the essence of the original. If you're a fragrance snob or have a well-trained nose, you might notice the differences, but for everyday wear, it gets the job done. This is a great gym scent, or a casual office fragrance where you want something familiar and inoffensive.
How Long Does it Last?
the performance is decent. It projects moderately for the first 2 hours, creating a nice scent bubble. After that, it sits closer to the skin. Don't expect beast mode; this is a workday fragrance.
