Is it Worth It?

If you like Idôle but can't justify the price tag, Glossy is a solid alternative. It's a fantastic daily driver for the office, running errands, or a casual lunch. The subtle differences are negligible to the untrained nose, and the performance is commendable. If you want a clean, everyday rose fragrance, grab this.

How it Smells

Glossy opens with a juicy pear and a zingy bergamot. It's bright and clean, similar to Idôle, but the bergamot is a touch sharper, less rounded. The heart blooms with rose and jasmine. The rose leans Turkish, giving it a slightly powdery feel, not as dewy as the original Lancôme. The dry down is a soft musk and vanilla blend. It's pleasant, though the white musk has a slight synthetic edge, especially on initial spray. Overall, I'd say it's about 90% similar to Idôle. The differences are mostly noticeable side-by-side.

The Performance Stats

This is where Glossy shines. It lasts a good 6-7 hours on my skin, projecting moderately for the first 2-3 hours. You'll leave a subtle trail without overpowering a room. Perfect for close encounters.
