Scent Breakdown
Infini Oud Joyous is clearly chasing the Oud for Happiness vibe, and gets respectably close – maybe 92%. The bright ginger and bergamot opening is there, though slightly sharper, a touch more synthetic than Initio's smoother introduction. The heart reveals that licorice/oud combo. Alhambra's oud is definitely more medicinal, less refined, but it's still appealing. The cedar provides a nice woody anchor, while the dry down leans heavily into vanilla and musk. I don't get a ton of herbal notes. Oud for Happiness has this radiant, almost glowing quality, that's harder to replicate. This version is darker, earthier.
Projection Power
This stuff projects surprisingly well for the first hour – a solid arms length. Then it settles down, becoming a more intimate scent. Longevity is decent. I get around 6 hours on my skin. It's not beast mode, but perfectly acceptable for a workday.
Conclusion
If you crave the Oud for Happiness profile but can't justify the price tag, Infini Oud Joyous is a worthy alternative. It’s not a perfect replica, especially with that slightly synthetic opening, but the overall impression is close enough. It's a great option for someone who wants an interesting, slightly challenging, but ultimately comforting everyday fragrance. The original is undeniably higher quality, but This one is a winner at its price point.
