Our objective metric for performance per dollar.
Bottom Line
This is a fragrance for the extrovert who enjoys being noticed, perhaps a bit too much. Best suited for fall evenings, perhaps a casual date where making a bold statement is the goal. It would feel out of place in daylight or any professional setting; its unapologetic sweetness and slightly sharp edges demand a specific, confident wearer.
Scent Breakdown
Libbra Intense throws open the doors with a boisterous blast of tangerine peel and something akin to candied violets, struggling to break free from an initial alcoholic haze. It hints at the lavender fields of its inspiration but loses that herbaceous quality almost immediately, opting instead for a syrupy sweetness. The heart is where the divergence widens. The jasmine is muted, playing second fiddle to a hefty dose of soapy orange blossom, leaving a powdery trail in its wake. Finally, the drydown arrives, not with a luxurious ambergris, but with a vaguely medicinal vanilla and a pronounced, synthetic tonka. The last moments are defined by a plasticky, almost vinyl-like persistence. It is reminiscent of the source material, but viewed through a funhouse mirror.
Projection Power
On my skin, Libbra Intense lasts a solid 6 hours. Initial projection is strong, easily extending a full arm's length, commanding attention without subtlety. After two hours, it retreats closer, clinging to the skin like a persistent whisper. I tested this during a chilly autumn evening; it held its own but struggled to cut through the cold.
