The Scent Profile
Narcotic Flower opens with a blast of soapy aldehydes, less the crisp bergamot of its inspiration and more like powdered laundry detergent. The white peach is muted, unfortunately, replaced by a general "fruity" sweetness. The heart is where it shines momentarily – a lovely, if slightly green, orange blossom supported by a synthetic, yet appealing, lily-of-the-valley accord. The base collapses into a rather generic musk, amplified by ambroxan that verges on screechy. The akigalawood attempts a woody sophistication but reads as a pencil shavings accord. Gone is the nuance of the original. Instead, a simple, clean, uncomplicated scent is left in its wake.
Wear time & Sillage
On my skin, Narcotic Flower lasts approximately 5 hours. The projection is initially strong, extending about an arm's length for the first hour, then quickly receding to a skin scent. I wore this to the grocery store and then while running errands.
Bottom Line
Narcotic Flower is best suited for casual, daytime wear when you want to smell clean and inoffensive. Think running errands, a casual brunch, or perhaps a trip to the gym. It will not make a statement, but it also won't offend. It's a safe, simple choice for those who appreciate a fresh and clean fragrance profile.
