Reyna opens with a recognizable neroli and bergamot accord, mimicking Love, Don't Be Shy, but with a noticeable synthetic pink pepper lift. The heart pushes forward quickly, a candied orange blossom dominating. The jasmine and honeysuckle are present, but take a backseat to the saccharine sweetness. The overall effect is approximately 90% similar to the Kilian original. The biggest divergence lies in the base. While Love, Don't Be Shy employs a smoother, almost marshmallow-like sugar note, Reyna's sugar accord has a slightly rougher edge, leaning into a more pronounced, almost burnt caramel.

Final Thoughts

Reyna is a competent clone that gets remarkably close to the original, especially point. The rougher caramel in the drydown is the main difference. If you crave Love, Don't Be Shy but balk at the Kilian price tag, Reyna is a worthwhile substitute. It delivers the core experience without breaking the bank. However, if you demand absolute fidelity and are sensitive to synthetic nuances, stick with the original; the refinement justifies the expense.

Performance Reality Check

Longevity is above average. I get a solid 6-7 hours on skin with moderate projection for the first 2-3 hours, settling closer to the skin thereafter. This is in line with the original’s performance. Be warned: overspraying amplifies the synthetic aspects.
